Drawing # 15

I finished reading the first Harry Potter book by Joanne Rowling and now I'm into Harry Potter alot.

Yesterday we saw the first movie, Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone (that's the one I read!!!)

I loved the movie soooo much that I did a couple of drawings. I did this one on my Dad's computer.

Here's Hogwart's School Of Witchcraft and Wizardy!!!!!

Cee-lo Green

Have you been watching "The Voice" lately???

If not, it's a show about these singers who think they have the voice. there's also very well-known real singers who on the show are known as "coaches".

Those coaches are Christina, Adam, Blake Shelton and Cee-lo Green.

The coaches basicly coach the singers of their choice from round one to round four until each coach has only one singer left on their team.

At the end of the show, we will know the winning singer and the winning "coach".

This year, Javier colon was the winner along with his coach, Adam Levigne.

Next winter there will be another Voice.

I decided to draw Cee-lo in The Voice singing with the wig he once wore on the show.

Sculpture rocks!

Sculpture #1

You may not know this, but at school there were sculpture classes every day after school. Me and Malaika (one of my classemates) teamed up and made this beauty! On one side there is a tucan and a meercat, and on the other there's 3 fish and a dolphin.

Apparently, while we were making it, Malaika broke it twice!

It was sold and bought by  Malaika's father, on the night of the vernissage.

Darth Vader

Drawing #13

You may reconize this guy. Yep, he's Darth Vader from Star Wars. Pretty cool, eh? He has the shadows, colours...

This guy is ready for battle!

Dream home

Drawing #12
This drawing shows a little house, a little garden and two little hedges. Everything is little! The house has bricks, the hedge is green, the garden is blooming, yes, this is the life!

Hanging over flames!

Drawing #11

This one has alot of colour in it because I drew my imagination! I'm on monkey bars, under me there is fire, smoke, palm trees, and even a volcano!

I probably don't have to explain why Emma's mouth turned into a giant ''o''!

Beach Girl

Drawing #10

This is a sun, a cloud, a beach, wind and the waves all in the same page!!!

I decided to put lots of unexpected coloures in placed that you could not imagine. The sea has usually a light blue, a dark blue white and that is what I tried to do. Also, I recreated sand, the wind, the sun and the cloud pretty well, i f I do say so myself!

Godshill

Drawing #9

This is Godshill. My mother gave me a book and on the cover there was a photo of Godshill, so I decided to draw it. We already have two pictures in our living room of it. One from my great Uncle George, and the other my grandfather bought all the way from England.

Don't I have an artistic family!

I tried to put as much detail as I could in this one.

The Queen

Drawing #8

This is Queen Elizabeth II. I made it for my mother, who loves Kings and Queens. How did I draw with such grand detail? I looked at a 25 cents and started drawing. I coloured her hair grey to make it look as if you took the picture of her in 2011.

Keep on the lookout, I should be doing more royalty drawings in the future!!!

Snow day

Drawing #7

I decided, since today is a Snow Day, to make a snow day drawing. There's me and my sister looking at the snowman we both built. I made big couds with snowflakes coming out of them.

The snowflakes look like little white balls because sometimes that is how they look. I tried to put as much detail as possible in this one.

Spring

Drawing #6

I had the idea of drawing me and my sister outside in the mud. In the backround, there is our house. I did the bricks brown, the windows grey, and the roof black. I drew the green grass (the lawn) and, of course, the mud!

The Wild West

Drawing #5

This drawing is a cowboy riding his horse in the West. I made it look like the sun was setting by making a half circle on the left side of the bumpy montain. I made the cactus darker greens, to make it look like it is closer to us than the mountains.

The cowboy looks just like a real one because I gave him boots, a hat and made him looking sort of mad and grumpy.

Partial family portrait

Drawing #4

I decided to do a drawing for my great grandmother Claire, who is at a resthome. Today, March 4th, my mother, my sister, my grandmother, and I will go see her. I will give her this drawing.

To the left there is Ciro, my uncle who is a researcher. Next to him there is my aunt Nadine. Under aunt Nadine, is her son, Gianluca, who is also my cousin (he invented this funny song on New Years Day about a dog that goes in the fridge!) Next to her, there is my grandmother Danielle. Under her, there is me! And next to my grandmother there is my dad who is a talented artist. Next to him, there is my mom; then, to the right there is my great grandmother, who completes the picture.

I used coloured crayons to colour, and I used a marker to draw.

Spring is coming!

Drawing #3

I did this drawing today, March 3rd. It is a pot of lovely roses and tulips. They are on a window sill and you can see a tree in the backyard, on the right of the window. I put short curtains with dots and swiggly blue lines.

The table is made of wood and there is a white door next to it to come in the scene. I coloured the walls grey so that the table, flowers, and curtains stand out. It is a trick of mine!!!

Sunset

My second drawing is this one. There is a boy outside at sunset. I think I pulled off the colours the sun does at the end of a day! You can even see a peacefull mountain in the backround. You can see the bricks I put on the house and the matching curtains that are as ruby as the ruby marker I used!

On thin ice!

I'm Sarah. I love to draw, first because my imagination is amazing. I have talent, but also because my father is an artist. If it weren't for him, I would not do this blog!

I will be posting some of my artwork, which is a fancy word for drawings, here. Your job is to tell me if my art is a work of art, or, if it stinks.

Don't be shy, comment!

So, the first drawing I want to show is this one.

I made it on the 29th and 30th of January. I have a passion for hockey, so there is me playing hockey. Next to me, there is my sister (who is more the Joanie Rochette kind)! To the left there is my father (the coach), my grandmother, other grandmother, and more to the right, my uncle and mother.
